Through the hard work and efforts put in by the Members of the Governing Body who were in-charge of the Karayogam from time to time and also through the monthly "Pidiyari" collected from the prominent families of the Karayogam, the Poickkattussery NSS Karayogam generated the resources for acquiring necessary assets.

The concept of “Pidiyari” was a novel idea devised by the early Governing Bodies of the Karayogam, whereby each household coming under the Karayogam used to keep aside one handful of rice in the name of the Karayogam, while preparing food at home. The role played by the households, particularly the homemakers in making this scheme a grand success is highly commendable.

The contribution of Rupees One Lakh by Prof. Ramakrishnan Nair and Rupees Fifty Thousand by Captain S.K.Nair are still held as permanent reserve of the Karayogam and are utilised for implementing the various philanthropic activities devised by the Karayogam.

Shri P. Gopinathan Nair, Smt. Chellamma Konnanpadavu, Shri Sunilkumar Konnanattu, Smt. Ambujakshiamma Konnampadavill, Shri Perumpillil Jayalayam Jayakumar and Captain SK Nair have founded "Endowments" for providing scholarships to the children of the Karayogam members studying in various standards.

Heartfelt thanks to the Hon’ble Karyogam members who have made regular contributions and set up ‘Endowment Scheme’ for the philanthropic activities of the Karayogam.

Successive Governing Bodies at the helm of affairs of the Karayogam have been successful enough in administering the Karayogam by keeping the Karayogam members together.

The Karayogam also has a strong and dynamic Womens’ Wing [Vanitha Samajam]. The Womens’ Wing is led by persons who are capable of working along with the Karayogam Governing Committee. At present, there are five well-functioning Self-Help Groups, having about 70 members, under the Vanita Samajam.

The Vanita Samajam Office Bearers who have been at the helm of affairs from time to time, have made sincere efforts to augment the assets of the Karayogam.

It is only because of the selfless dedication of many generous community lovers, both dead and alive, that we are having this beautiful building today.

The current Governing Body of Poickattussery NSS Karayogam has come into existence on the 1st of December 2024 by electing Shri R.V.Raghunath as the President, Shri R. Suresh Babu as the Secretary, Dr. Abhijit Raghunath as the Vice President, Shri E.B. Ganesh Kumar as the Joint Secretary and Shri P.V. Vijayakumar as the Treasurer of the Karayogam.

Shri P.K. Pareswaran Nair, Shri Mangalat Govindan Nair, Shri Njarakkat Unnikrishnan and Shri Suresh Thodukuzhi have been selected as Committee Members.

The President and Secretary of the Karayogam have been elected as the Union Representatives.

Shri R Suresh Babu has been elected as the Electoral Roll Member Secretary of the Karayogam.

This Governing Body proposes to move forward by ensuring the help and co-operation of the Members of the Karayogam and well-wishers. The Governing Body aims at the "Yoga Kshemam" – Welfare, Safety and Prosperity of all the members of the Karayogam. The Governing Body is striving hard for the realization of its Aim. The Governing Body is moving forward by fully co-operating with the NSS Aluva Taluk Union. Offering obeisance to the Acharya for fulfillment of our goal.
